[From Hamlet:] 'To be or not to be, that is the question'.
My name is Taejin Kim. I'm from South Korea, and I'm studying at Leicester University.
The first novel I read is The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare.
After that, I became interested in English literature and English, and
Shakespeare is one of the most important reason[s] to make me study in [the] UK.
'Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer /
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.'
I'm not accustomed to speaking English, but I have to study
in English; I have to write an essay in English, so I think my English skills
have improved. I visited Shakespeare's Globe and I felt thrilled and excited,
because I can imagine the scene of Shakespeare's works
'To die – to sleep – / No more;
and by a sleep to say we end / The heartache
and the thousand natural shocks / That flesh is heir to ...'
I think the most interesting thing to me about Shakespeare's works
is [that] the content of his work can be interpreted differently.
Themes like love, war and relationships of people can be accepted [by] everyone in the world.
'To die – to sleep. / To sleep – perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub!
