You use the present simple to talk about:
1 things that you do again and again, i.e. routines, customs and habits.
e.g. I go to school every day.
Before he goes to bed Jerry drinks a cup of milk.
2 things that are true in general and do not change.
You can use averbs of frequency: never, sometimes, rarely, often,usually,ever,never, always etc.. or
you can use adverbs of time: every day, every week, month, year ,morning, afternoon, evening ,night ,Sunday, January, etc.
a) You put the adverbs of frequency before the main verb.
e.g. I often go out at weekend.
e.g. He is always at home at weekends.
c) you use expressions with every at the beginning or at the end of a sentence.
e.g. Every Sunday she visits her grandparents.
